#701 Milwaukee Bucks +2 over Detroit Pistons 6:00 PM CT

In the midst of a long losing streak the Pistons made a splash ahead of the trade deadline acquiring Blake Griffin. The short terms gains were clear with a five-game winning streak but Detroit has fallen in six of the last seven, going from dangerous Eastern Conference sleeper to currently a lottery team, 3.5 games behind Miami for the final postseason spot in the East.

The Bucks still have a negative scoring differential and are a losing team on the road as a team most expected to make a major leap this season has been underwhelming. A short winning streak could close the gap in the standings however as the Bucks are only three games behind Cleveland for the #3 spot in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee has lost the past two games by two and three points against playoff caliber competition as the stakes will be elevated tonight at the Palace.

Milwaukee has won two of three in this series on the season and Detroit is a losing ATS team at home vs. winning teams. The Pistons are 8-16 ATS this season in closely-lined games with a spread below four either way and Milwaukee is 7-3 ATS on the road vs. losing teams. The Bucks are the clearly superior offensive squad shooting nearly three percent stronger on the season and with three tight games since the break Milwaukee getting points is appealing going against a slumping Detroit squad on a ATS slide.

#701 Milwaukee Bucks +1.5 over Indiana Pacers 6:05 PM CT

The Pacers got Victor Oladipo back and promptly snapped a five-game slide with a 125-86 win over the Bulls on Saturday. While those losses could carry an asterisk with Indiana sliding without its best player, avenging last week’s 122-101 loss in Milwaukee will still be a challenge. Both teams shot extremely well in that game but the Pacers struggled to score insider with Myles Turner netting only nine points and the starting five for the Bucks posting big advantages in the matchup.

Indiana has been a disappointing home team at just 12-9 and the Bucks have wins in Oklahoma City and Washington as well as an overtime loss in Toronto in the past three road tests. The Bucks have played the much tougher schedule and Milwaukee has excelled against quality teams going 7-2 ATS on the road vs. winning teams.

Oladipo played just 23 minutes in his return and could still be limited as he works his way back to full strength. It has been nearly a month since the Pacers defeated a winning team as all four wins on the current 4-8 run have come against the bottom of the league as the team was struggling even before Oladipo’s injury. Milwaukee has a higher ceiling and is catching decent value in this matchup with underdog pricing.
