Nelly’s Baseball is 11-6 in Interleague play – get Thursday’s side:
#611 Seattle Storm -6.5 over Dallas Wings 6:00 PM CT
The Storm are serious WNBA contenders this season as the 8-4 record includes losses only to Minnesota and New York with three of those four defeats on the road. Since starting 1-3, Seattle is 7-1 and seven of the team’s eight wins on the season have come by nine or more points. This will be the third road game in the past week for Seattle, bouncing back from Sunday’s loss in Minneapolis with a convincing win hosting the Sparks Tuesday before heading back on the road for the next three games. This is also the first meeting of the season with the Wings. Dallas has lost five straight games to slide to 3-7 and is playing with out Satou Sabally and Natasha Howard, two of the team’s top three scorers from last season. Rookie Jaelyn Brown has also played in just one game this season as Latricia Trammell hasn’t had the team that she expected to lead yet this season. Dallas doesn’t have a win over a winning team this season and while there have been several competitive losses this season, the Wings have dropped three home games in a row, including a lopsided loss in the most difficult matchup losing by 14 to Las Vegas last week. Arike Ogunbowale has been asked to do it all this season and she has posted over 26 points per game as the second leading scorer in the league right now. The Storm has a balanced and complete roster with four players averaging 13 or more points and this team is only going to get better with more experience playing together with the big off-season acquisitions for Nneka Ogqumike and Skylar Diggins-Smith.
