It will be extremely humid in Chicago tonight with a chance of interruptions for this game with storms. Chicago is just 5-14 in September but that is more wins in the month than the White Sox had in either July or August in a miserable 2024 season. Chicago pitching has allowed at least four runs in seven of the past 10 games and Jonathan Cannon has mediocre results in his rookie season with a 6.4 K/9 and a 4.75 FIP. Cannon has allowed at least four runs in four of his last six starts and he has worse numbers since the All-Star Break. Jack Kochanowicz is getting a late season opportunity for the Angels, skipping AAA after an average season in AA. In just over 51 innings his K/9 is just 3.5 and his FIP 5.09 as he has not looked ready to pitch at the MLB level. He did pitch well against Chicago on Wednesday last week, but his road ERA is 4.84. The offense for the Angels has provided some late season success even as the losses pile up. The Angels have scored at least four runs in seven of the past eight games and seven of the past 10 games for the team have reached at least eight runs.
