#954 St. Louis Cardinals (Gray) -120 over San Francisco Giants (Webb) 1:15 PM CT
The San Francisco bullpen is in rough shape right now sporting a 5.24 ERA in the past 10 games. Logan Webb has been a quality starter for the Giants for several seasons, but he is on pace for a career worst K/9 this season and like most San Francisco pitchers over the years, his numbers are great at home and mediocre on the road. June has been his worst month of the 2024 season and Sonny Gray has quietly been among the NL’s best starters as the Cardinals have charged back into the NL race. St. Louis has climbed over .500 and are just five games out of the NL Central lead with a 7-3 run in the past 10 games with two of those losses narrow walk-off misses. The Cardinals have scored 15 runs the past two games in this series, playing yesterday at home and Thursday in Birmingham, posting a .786 team OPS in the past week. San Francisco has lost six of the past eight games and the pitching staff has allowed at least four runs in all eight of those games. In the past 10 games the Cardinals are batting .279 with 6.1 runs per nine vs. right-handers and this has been one of the Webb’s toughest ballparks in his career with a 5.49 ERA in his four career starts in St. Louis. Look for the Cardinals to complete a sweep Sunday with Webb’s presence keeping the number in check.
