#731 Pittsburgh -1 over Boston College 5:00 PM CT
Boston College had a competitive stretch in late January and early February, but the Eagles have now dropped three straight games, sliding to 6-11 in ACC play. This is the home finale but there won’t be great fanfare in a third straight disappointing season for Earl Grant with the Eagles needing to win out to match last season’s ACC win count. The offense has been capable, but Boston College has been one of the worst defensive teams in the ACC, even while facing one of the easiest schedules in the ACC as they played Duke, North Carolina, Clemson, and Wake Forest just once each. Pittsburgh hasn’t quite matched last season’s success, but the Panthers have late season momentum with an 8-3 run since mid-January. One more win will at least clinch a .500 ACC season and the Panthers have five ACC road wins plus two non-conference wins vs. major conference teams away from home this season. Pittsburgh has had to play Duke and Wake Forest twice each for a difficult ACC draw and this team has road wins at Duke, Virginia, and NC State. The Panthers have better efficiency numbers than Boston College on both sides of the ball and project to produce a turnover edge in this matchup as well as having a clear edge in rebounding potential with a clear size advantage. Pittsburgh has a 67% ATS record on the road and has positive momentum late in the season to deliver another quality road win.
