#472 Minnesota Vikings -3.5 over Arizona Cardinals 12:00 PM CT

The Vikings wound up being unable to cover -3.5 last week despite leading by 11 with fewer than 30 seconds to go with a bizarre finish that included Chicago making a two-point conversion and recovering an onside kick. The Vikings still got the win and are 9-2 this season with four wins in a row. There have been six one-score wins for the Vikings but four of those wins were by at least five points as only twice in nine wins has Minnesota not won by at least five points. A pick-6 was the difference for Arizona last week, surrendering the division lead and ending a four-game winning streak with a 16-6 loss to Seattle but the offense managed only 298 yards against a below average defense. Minnesota presents a tougher task as the Cardinals face a second straight road game. Arizona does have two road wins this season, but both came by exactly one-point in dramatic comebacks after being down by two scores in the 4th quarter. Arizona has only one win over a winning team this season and that was a fortunate 17-15 win over the Chargers while soundly outgained and catching turnover and penalty breaks. Arizona lost badly to both Detroit and Green Bay, teams Minnesota has competed right with in the NFC North standings this season. The Cardinals are just 4-10 S/U in road games under Jonathan Gannon, while Minnesota is 13-9 S/U in home games for Kevin O’Connell. The Cardinals are also on an 11-19-1 ATS run in second straight road games off a S/U loss with Arizona facing challenging travel this week in-between division games. All five Arizona losses have come by at least seven points this season as well.
