Notre Dame has won three of the past four games with only a three-point loss. While the Irish are 5-11 in ACC play, close losses have been common as seven losses have come by 10 or fewer points. This is an obvious fade spot for Wake Forest after the Demon Deacons held on for a tense narrow win hosting Duke on Saturday. That puts Wake Forest at 10-6 and on the right side of the NCAA Tournament bubble but a bad loss could knock the Demon Deacons down into a less favorable position. Wake Forest is just 2-6 S/U in ACC road games, and the wins were against Boston College and Georgia Tech, with the win over BC by just six points in early January. Notre Dame has won its last two home games and the slow pace of play for the Irish makes them an appealing home underdog, presenting a clash of styles in the pairing. Notre Dame is the #2 rated defense in the ACC and while the offense has struggled, the numbers bounce more favorably in South Bend, while Wake Forest has lost ATS in two thirds of its road games this season.
