#137 Georgia Tech +14.5 over Clemson 11:00 AM CT
Georgia Tech is in third place in the ACC but they are just 5-4 In a see-saw season. Georgia Tech went 4-4 behind Brent Key last season after he replaced Geoff Collins and getting to a bowl game this season would be a nice accomplishment for a team that wasn’t given great preseason respect in the ACC projections. Georgia Tech has won back-to-back games scoring 46 and 45 and there will be some urgency in the next two weeks knowing they will want to get win #6 before the finale with Georgia.Texas A&M transfer Haynes King has delivered a nice season hitting 63 percent of his passes for 8.2 yards per attempt and he has 22 TDs while sacked only 8 times for the 4th best QB Rating in the ACC. Cade Klubnik is 12th among qualified ACC quarterbacks as he has not lived up to expectations for Clemson. Klubnik averages just 6.4 yards per attempt and has thrown an interception in three straight games while being sacked 8 times. Georgia Tech is a top 10 rushing team nationally averaging 5.4 yards per carry and in the past three games vs. ACC competition Georgia Tech has posted 7.1 yards per attempt. Clemon has a good run defense allowing 3.8 yards per carry, but that average is 4.8 in the past three games. The Tigers are better than the 5-4 record with several close losses but last week’s win over Notre Dame featured some good fortune as Clemson had only 285 yards of offense and the Irish had three turnovers. Clemson had a pick-6 and had scoring drives of just 41 and 18 yards early in the game. Clemson is a risky favorite averaging only 19.3 points per game in ACC play while going 10-19 ATS as a double-digit favorite since 2020, while also just 8-14 ATS as a home favorite in that time. Georgia Tech is 7-2 ATS in road games under Key with a 6-2 record ATS as an underdog of 10 or more points.
