The Citadel is only 4-7 in SoCon play but they have a win over Chattanooga and have swept Western Carolina for a few decent results. Most losses have been in competitive games as in a 3-4 run since mid-January no loss has come by more than 10 points. That was the final margin in Greensboro for the first meeting between these teams and while it was a wire-to-wire win for the Spartans, the Bulldogs climbed back into the game in the second half even while posting 19 turnovers. UNC Greensboro is one of three teams at 9-2 in league play in a tight conference race, but the Spartans have drawn a favorable path so far. They have split with Furman but are yet to visit Samford or Chattanooga and have not played ETSU at all so far. Greensboro owns great defensive numbers but the offense can be limited and has not topped 70 points in any of the past five games while eclipsing 73 only once in 11 league games. The Citadel is a solid interior scoring team and is a 77 percent free throw shooting team with a free throw disparity a factor in the first meeting as well. The Citadel has covered in three of the past four meetings in this series and the Bulldogs have covered in 60 percent of its home games vs. winning teams this season. Expect a tighter than expected game and this line is only a adjusted a few points for the four-hour trip south for the Spartans compared to the home meeting in January.
