Yale lost 62-60 at Columbia last weekend to open the Ivy League season 0-1. The Bulldogs are the favorites in the Ivy League and a sharp performance for the conference home opener should be in store tonight. Dartmouth is just 4-11 on the season and only two of those wins were division I results and one win came in overtime by one point. The Big Green lost by 11 at home to Cornell in the conference opener on Sunday and holds some of the worst offensive numbers in the nation. This is a below 30 percent 3-point shooting team and a 67 percent free throw shooting team, while also a team that struggles with turnovers. Dartmouth did play competitive games in two losses to Yale last season but this year’s team is one of the least experienced in the nation and so far grades dramatically worse than even last year’s nine-win team. After a stunning loss on Saturday where Yale shot poorly from long range, a focused effort should allow the Bulldogs to pull away for a convincing win.
