#539 Orlando Magic PK over Milwaukee Bucks 7:10 PM CT
The Bucks scored a huge win over Boston last night, but the team got an injury scare with Giannis Antetokounmpo leaving the game. He isn’t going to play tonight but appears to have avoided a serious injury. That is a huge relief for a Bucks team that has been sinking in recent weeks and is still barely clinging to the #2 position in the Eastern Conference with three games to play. Boston wasn’t granted a single free throw attempt in last night’s game for a bizarre result and the Celtics were outshot by more than 13 percent yet only lost by 13. Milwaukee hit 17 3-point shots at over 47 percent, numbers that will be tough to match again tonight. The Magic are one of the teams closely trailing Milwaukee, just two games behind the Bucks and one game behind New York, but only holding the #4 spot by a slim margin after last night’s loss in Houston. The Rockets had an incredible shooting game last night as there wasn’t much the Magic could do. Orlando has been the #1 defense in the NBA in the past 10 games, well above Milwaukee and Orlando holds the #3 net efficiency ranking in that span, only trailing Boston and Minnesota. These teams have split two meetings so far this season with Orlando 2-0 ATS and the Magic are 21 games above .500 ATS as one of the top spread performers in the league, in great contrast with Milwaukee’s 34-44-1 ATS mark this season. The Bucks will have a hard time matching last night’s great performance and the Magic have significant incentive in the standings.
