#551 Brooklyn Nets +11.5 over Detroit Pistons 6:10 PM CT

Detroit’s winning streak was snapped by the Nuggets last night with Denver shooting 56 percent including nearly 55% from 3-point range with 17 made shots beyond the arc. Denver was also granted 31 free throw attempts at the Palace. It has been a great turnaround season for the Pistons, but Detroit is only 4-9 ATS as a home favorite this season and 1-3 ATS as a home favorite of six or more points. This will be the second largest home favorite spread so far this season for the Pistons, with Detroit losing ATS as a 12-point favorite in early February hosting Charlotte. Detroit won at Brooklyn in November and January, but the Nets are a 60% ATS team in the past 10 games and Cam Thomas returned last night for the first time since early January. The Nets didn’t play well in an ugly loss hosting Portland Friday, but the Blazers shot 58 percent in that game for an outlier outcome. The Nets are 7-5 S/U in the past 12 games as this team put together a nice run before the All-Star break and last night’s loss was one of the only notably bad defeats in competitive run for the team since late January. Expect a better performance from the Nets tonight and after playing the Clippers, Celtics, and Nuggets in the past three home dates, this would be an understandable flat spot for Detroit ahead of a long west coast road trip.
