#516 Oklahoma City Thunder +2 over Phoenix Suns 7:10 PM CT
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is unlikely to play tonight and while losing at home to Houston without him on Wednesday was a costly loss in the Western Conference race, the Rockets are playing as well as anyone in the league right now. The Thunder led nearly the entire way while shorthanded in that game before eventually losing in overtime. Oklahoma City has a difficult five-game road trip on deck as this is a key game for the Thunder as they look to stay in contact of the Western Conference lead, sitting a half-game behind Denver and tied with Minnesota in the top three spots, but knowing the Wolves and Nuggets play tonight as well as one of those teams will lose ground. Oklahoma City has the best scoring differential in the Western Conference and Wednesday’s loss was just the eighth home loss of the season for the Thunder. Phoenix has slipped to the #7 position in the Western Conference, but the Suns turned in a huge win at Denver on Wednesday. This could be a difficult follow-up, facing a fourth straight road game and eighth road game since March 11. The Thunder have won and covered in both meetings this season, playing as a 4.5-point favorite in Phoenix earlier this month and winning by eight. Oklahoma City is 22-14 ATS at home while the Suns are a losing road team ATS this season and the adjustment for Gilgeous-Alexander’s likely absence may be too severe for a Thunder team that hasn’t lost consecutive games since February 10.
