#535 Phoenix Suns +7 over Minnesota Timberwolves 7:00 PM CT
The Suns have been a disappointment this season and are one of the league’s lesser ATS performers. The Suns are now sitting outside the play-in position in the Western Conference at the #11 spot in the standings, but they are just a game out of the #9 spot as Phoenix has plenty to play for down the stretch. A matchup with Minnesota should provide a focused effort as the Wolves swept the Suns in the playoffs last April and Minnesota has now won seven straight games in this series. The Wolves will be a playoff team but sitting in the #8 position in the West is a big fall from last season when Minnesota was in the race for the top spot and made it to the Western Conference Finals. The Wolves are 1-3 S/U in the past four games and are only 21-16 S/U at home this season. Minnesota has allowed 119 or more points in three of the past four games as the defense hasn’t matched last season’s results. Phoenix was blown out hosting Boston on Wednesday but had beaten the Cavaliers and Bucks in the prior games as this is a team playing with some urgency and should be a threat to stay close as a hefty underdog, as they did in the earlier regular season meeting at the Target Center losing 120-117.
