#953 Milwaukee Brewers (Peralta) -120 over St. Louis Cardinals (Mikolas) 1:15 PM CT

The Cardinals lucked into a win on Wednesday, trailing 4-2 in the 7th inning and 6-4 in the 9th inning before winning 10-6 with a 10th inning grand slam. The two tying runs to send the game into extra innings came with three walks and a hit-by-pitch with only one St. Louis hit in the inning as Devin Williams didn’t have his command and didn’t get any help from umpire Brian Walsh. Milwaukee went just 4-16 with runners in scoring position as the Brewers had plenty of opportunities to put the game away. The Brewers are still 7-2 vs. St. Louis this season and with a commanding NL Central lead, in play to chase the to record in the NL. Freddy Peralta hasn’t had his best season but he remains an above average option on the mound with a 10.6 K/9. Williams won’t be available today but the bullpen depth for Milwaukee has been stronger than that for St. Louis. Miles Mikolas has a 5.41 ERA with just a 6.3 K/9 and he has allowed 14 runs in his last three starts while allowing 15 hits and eight runs in two starts vs. Milwaukee this season.
