#976 New York Yankees (Rodon) -115 over San Francisco Giants (Webb) 12:35 PM CT

New York is scoring 7.1 runs per nine against right-handed pitchers this season and Logan Webb is an average or worse pitcher on the road. Webb gets valued like one of the better NL starters, but his career is built on a 2.73 ERA in one of the best pitching home ballparks. His career ERA on the road is 4.05 and he owns a 5.54 ERA in his career vs. the Yankees, including a 6.00 ERA at Yankee Stadium. The Giants are 10-4 for a great start to the season but San Francisco had a tough game Saturday after winning Friday night to open this series. The Giants are 2-3 in the past five games with the offense cooling off, being shutout twice in that span. The Giants were just 19-25 vs. left-handed starters last season and are only 1-2 in those matchups this season. New York is 6-3 vs. right-handed starters this season going 73-45 vs. right-handed starters last season. Carlos Rodon had a great 2022 season pitching for the Giants and he will be leaned on as the current staff ace for the Yankees with all the injuries to the pitching staff. Rodon has delivered better results than his 5.19 ERA suggests this season and he has allowed just seven hits in over 11 innings at home. Rodon had a 3.11 ERA at Yankee Stadium last season as well. The Giants have had superior bullpen results so far this season, but New York has still allowed five or fewer runs in seven of the past 10 games for steady results for the patchwork pitching staff and the lineup has the potential to carry the Yankees Sunday to win this series.
