#721 Cincinnati +3.5 over UCF 6:00 PM CT
UCF has blown leads in the past two games in high-profile tests vs. Kansas and BYU, sliding to 4-6 from 4-4 in Big XII play. The Knights did beat Texas Tech on the road in the Big XII opener and have a win over Texas A&M at home but in Big XII play UCF is just 2-3 S/U at home. The interior scoring numbers are very poor for the Knights, ranking last in the Big XII with a success rate below 44 percent inside the arc. UCF is reliant on 3-point shooting and getting to the line, but Cincinnati has a formidable defense. Wes Miller’s squad is just 2-8 in a tough Big XII start, but competitive low-scoring games have been the norm, with three losses by five or fewer points. Cincinnati has had some tough luck at the free throw line with foes shooting 10 percent better at the stripe this season. Cincinnati has great turnover rates and excellent size as the Bearcats are a threat to be a Big XII spoiler as a brutal schedule continues, with the next nine games vs. Cincinnati vs. top 100 teams including five top 50 games. Cincinnati has won and covered in each of the past four meetings in this series and UCF has been a favorite just twice in Big XII play with an ATS split in those two home games. Cincinnati won’t attract a lot of support with a very poor ATS run going but only one of five Big XII road opponents has topped 70 points against the Bearcats and a close finish looks likely in this pairing towards the bottom of the Big XII standings.
