#116 UTSA -17 over Temple 6 PM CT
Temple won in overtime last week against Florida Atlantic, but head coach Stan Drayton was fired after the game. The Owls have allowed 108 points in the past two road games and allowed 49 points hosting UTSA last season. Since the stunning meltdown at Tulsa in late October where UTSA lost despite a 42-17 lead, UTSA has posted back-to-back home wins and has now scored 38 or more points in four straight games. The past two wins were solid home results against Memphis and North Texas with Temple grading a significant step below those teams. On the season UTSA is 5-0 S/U at home and 0-5 S/U on the road with the Roadrunners 4-1 ATS at home this season and 28-3 S/U at home since 2020 under Jeff Traylor. With that 5-5 record on the season, a bowl trip is still in doubt with a tough regular season finale at Army next week. Temple has allowed 5.7 yards per rush the past three games, while gaining only 3.1 yards per rush on the season as the Roadrunners should produce a significant rushing edge having allowed just 3.4 yards per rush this season. Interim head coach Everett Withers is just 14-34 in his career as a FBS head coach. Temple last won a road game in September of 2021, riding 19 straight losses with only four ATS wins in that run as well despite often being a significant underdog.
