#455 LA Rams -4 over New England 12:00 PM CT
The Rams and Patriots met in Super Bowl LIII and the past three meetings have been very low scoring with a 24-3 win for the Rams in the last meeting in 2020 following New England’s 13-3 Super Bowl win in February 2019. The Patriots won a low-scoring game in Chicago last week facing windy conditions, but the forecast looks relatively pleasant for November in the northeast this week, which could play to the strength of the Rams. The Patriots are 2-3 with Drake Maye at quarterback including 2-1 in the last three games with an OT loss as offense has made positive progress. The defense for the Rams has improved dramatically compared to the season numbers, however. The Rams have allowed just 5.3 yards per play in the past three games despite facing three excellent offensive teams. No Los Angeles opponent has topped 24 points since Week 2 and that run includes facing the 49ers, Packers, Vikings, Seahawks and Dolphins. The Rams are just 1-3 in road games this season but two of those losses came vs. current NFC division leaders. New England’s wins have all come against losing teams and the Patriots are just 1-3 S/U at home, outscored 76-101. The Rams are on a short week after a tough Monday night loss, losing despite holding Miami to only 238 yards, and outgaining the Dolphins by 89 yards and posting 20 first downs. Now at 4-5 and with the Eagles next week this is a critical game for the Rams to get back to .500.
