#317 Florida State +3 over Duke 6:00 PM CT
Florida State has never lost to Duke (though two wins have been vacated) yet the Blue Devils attracted early market attention pushing this line from -1 to -4 before settling at -3. Duke led Florida State through three quarters last season but couldn’t hold on in Tallahassee when both teams were ranked in the polls. Florida State was off last week following a semi-competitive vs. Clemson, losing by only 16 despite allowing 500 yards. It has been a disastrous season for Florida State but only the SMU loss was a blowout result and this game should provide one of the more favorable matchups of the season. Duke’s 5-1 start includes three one-score wins through a far weaker schedule than the Seminoles have faced as this is a Blue Devils team in a major transition season. For Florida State freshman quarterback Brock Glenn looked capable with two touchdown throws against Clemson and at least provides some new wrinkles for the struggling offense. Duke has managed just 3.7 yards per rush this season despite facing the 97th rated schedule this season compared to a top 10 path drawn by the Seminoles. Duke managed only 74 yards rushing last week in a 10-point loss at Georgia Tech and the Blue Devils have been outgained in both ACC games while allowing more than 400 yards in each game.
