#460 Carolina Panthers +4 over Green Bay Packers 12:00 PM CT
The Packers continue to regress on defense and while back-to-back losses have put Green Bay in an uphill battle, the remaining schedule is favorable, as rallying to finishing 9-8 remains possible. The receiving corps and secondary are dealing with injuries as Jordan Love did play well last week despite the 34-20 defeat at home. Getting a second win last week was a nice result for Carolina but the Panthers won without scoring a touchdown, going 0-3 in the red zone, and benefitting from two Atlanta turnovers. Carolina has failed to reach 20 points in eight straight games and Green Bay has scored 94 more points than the Panthers this season. The Packers are on a 1-6 ATS run with five S/U losses in a road favorite role, however. The three-game winning streak that included wins over the Lions and Chiefs hid some of the developing issues for the Packers and allowing 58 points the past two games to Tommy DeVito and Baker Mayfield means the Panthers will have a good opportunity to beat their production averages Sunday. Carolina is 2-4 S/U at home and two of the losses were one-score results to playoff threats and the Panthers had played four of five on the road prior to last week’s win at home. Bryce Young had his second best game of the season last week in QBR and QB Rating as he has made some progress, including having just two interceptions in the past six games. Green Bay’s defense should be the worst unit he has faced in several weeks and the Panthers are a threat for their first winning streak of the season.
