Free Pick Tuesday: #519 Atlanta Hawks +1.5 over New Orleans Pelicans 6:30 PM CT
Atlanta is in in a fifth straight road game after a taxing run out west, but the Hawks covered in three of four games with two S/U wins and the Hawks own 14 S/U road wins on the season. The 19-9 S/U home record for the Pelicans commands respect but that season record incudes going just 2-5 S/U in the past seven home dates. New Orleans delivered back-to-back home wins over the weekend, but Atlanta has been in fine form of late with the #2 offensive efficiency ranking in the NBA in the past 10 games in great contrast to the numbers for the Pelicans near the bottom of the league in the recent sample. Atlanta won in overtime hosting New Orleans in the last meeting and the Hawks are on an 8-2 S/U and ATS run in this series. An already injury-plagued roster added Brandon Ingram and Jonas Valanciunas to the injury report over the weekend while an Atlanta team that has much more potential than its .500 record should be a threat after battling through a top 10 schedule and now finally having its complete roster back in order.
