FREE PICK SUNDAY: #260 Miami Dolphins -2 over Indianapolis Colts 12 PM CT

Miami had a late comeback win in Indianapolis as a 1-7 team in the last meeting between these teams as Ryan Fitzpatrick bested Brian Hoyer back in 2019. These teams have overgone significant changes since then but sitting 1-2 and 0-3 respectively, these expected AFC playoff contenders have had tough starts to the season. The Dolphins slid to 1-2 with back-to-back losses after the big Week 1 win New England and a team known for its defense has surrendered 66 points the past two weeks. The Colts have faced a difficult schedule and Indianapolis has been reasonably competitive in every game but have not been able to complete 60 minutes. The Colts are a bottom eight yards per play team on both sides of the ball while Miami at least has an upper tier defense to offset its pedestrian offense as both teams are struggling to produce big plays in the passing game. The Colts have allowed the 3rd highest opposing QB Rating in the league so far while Miami is 13th as Jacoby Brissett facing his former team could have the edge against a banged-up Carson Wentz. Miami has the superior run defense as well as the Colts won’t likely be able to get a breakout game from the backfield that has barely averaged 100 yards per game this season. There is some historical data to support 0-3 teams on the road in Game 4 and the Colts are likely one of the better 0-3 teams in recent memory. Outside of that the edges look clear for Miami particularly with the offensive lines injuries for Indianapolis and this being a second-straight road game off a tough division loss last week. The Colts were +3 in turnovers in that game and still managed only 16 points vs. one of the worst defenses in the league for a very concerning result.
