#571 Indiana Pacers +5 over San Antonio Spurs 8:10 PM CT

The Pacers had 20 turnovers and shot 58 percent from the free throw line for a demoralizing home loss. Expect this talented group to be sharp tonight as Indiana has oddly played dramatically better on the road this season. The past track record for the Spurs make this team tough to fade but the Spurs have a phony 24-22 record sitting with a negative scoring differential that is worse than Indiana possesses despite the Pacers being 21-26. San Antonio has also struggled at home this season going just 12-15 S/U while the Spurs are 4-10 vs. the league’s top 10 and 8-14 vs. the league’s top 16, an area where Indiana resides despite the losing record. San Antonio has faced the second weakest schedule in the league while the Pacers have drawn the fourth toughest path, going 18-10 vs. teams that are not in the league’s top 10, with the Spurs by some accounts not even a top 20 team. The Pacers were a five-point favorite last night and will be a five-point underdog tonight after an ugly showing despite facing a similar caliber team while in a venue that has provided no edge for the host this season.
