#107 South Carolina +17 over Florida 11:00 AM CT

Florida’s opening win was never really in doubt but allowing 613 yards is never a positive sign. Kyle Trask and the rushing attack for the Gators did its part but a Rebels squad in a transition season moved the ball with ease as well. South Carolina had the lead on Florida in the fourth quarter last season and posted a yardage edge and Will Muschamp has played his former team tough every season despite only one S/U win as every game has been decided by 13 or fewer points. Muschamp was criticized for kicking a field goal down seven with three minutes to go last week but ultimately the Gamecocks lost because of turnovers. Tennessee scored on an interception return to go in front in the second quarter and Muschamp’s plan to get the ball back at the end of the game worked; only his returner muffed the punt and the offense never got the chance vs. a tired Tennessee that Collin Hill threw very effectively against with 290 passing yards in his debut. Texas A&M and LSU lurk as the next two games for Dan Mullen and this will be the second largest SEC favorite spread he has faced at Florida, even with this line dropping significantly since opening as high as 19.5.
