#267/268 OVER 42.5 Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota Vikings 12:00 PM CT
Mike Zimmer’s preseason quarterback play has been very strong regardless of who is under center, with Minnesota passers now a combined 47/62 in two games for nearly 76 percent completions. With a nearly 8.4 yards per attempt rate, it hasn’t been a conservative attack even with Minnesota rushing for 350 yards in two games with attention on improving the offensive line critical in the off-season. While Zimmer’s now 19-4 S/U record in the preseason garners plenty of attention, the defensive-minded head coach has seen the ‘over’ hit in six of his last eight preseason games. That run includes both games this season and each of his week 3 games the past two years while the ‘over’ has also hit in five of the past six preseason games in Minneapolis. Minnesota has averaged 26.8 points per game in Week 3 under Zimmer the past five years and the Vikings will face an Arizona defense that allowed 26 points to Oakland last week by the halfway mark of the second quarter. Brett Hundley’s stint as a NFL starter went poorly filling-in for Aaron Rodgers in 2017 but he has been a consistent preseason performer while new head coach Kliff Kingsbury will look to get better returns from his heavily scrutinized #1 draft pick Kyler Murray, who threw for only 12 yards last week. Arizona was happy to do late scoring last week posting two touchdown drives of at least 90 yards late in the game and with these head coaches any sort of preseason etiquette late in the game can likely be thrown out the window.
