#805 Charlotte Hornets +9 over Toronto Raptors 5:05 PM CT
Charlotte hasn’t yet quit on the season as the Hornets are only five games out of the final Eastern Conference playoff spot and despite being only 28-35 the Hornets have a near even scoring differential on the season. Facing the current Eastern Conference leaders will be a big draw and Toronto continues to look suspicious as a serious NBA Finals threat.

The Raptors survived a hard fought road game at Washington Friday night. Toronto has faced one of the NBA’s very weakest schedules and this week’s lull in the slate with a pair inconsequential home games could mean a flat showing ahead on Sunday. Charlotte has won five of the last seven with the only losses coming on the road against Boston and Philadelphia. Toronto has won by double-digits in all three meetings this season but this will be highest spread in this series in some time.
The road team has covered in four of the past five meetings and Charlotte has only been this big of an underdog once this season (1-0 ATS). Toronto is just 1-2 ATS in the past three home games and while the reputation of Toronto being best against bad teams is deserved this is a team that now has its sights set further and a Hornets team that has bene very competitive in the last month is a threat to hang in this game with a hefty underdog price.
